About Fix My Sole
Fix My Sole is a Tallahassee design studio creating custom cut-and-sew apparel, band and team uniforms, and officially licensed collegiate merchandise.
Every piece starts as an original drawing. From marching band tracksuits to homecoming drops to brand campaigns, we design and build apparel that carries a story and represents the people who wear it.
It Started With a $3 Pair of Sneakers
Founder and Creative Director Elijah Rutland grew up in Macon, Georgia, wanting the name-brand sneakers his parents wouldn't buy. His father's answer stuck with him: "I'd rather buy shares of NIKE stock than NIKE sneakers."
So Elijah made his own. In high school, he talked his dad into a $3 pair of sneakers from Goodwill and $10 worth of paint. He posted the result online, people wanted pairs of their own, and Fix My Sole was born.
That same drive carried him to Florida A&M University, where he played trumpet in the Incomparable Marching "100" and earned his B.S. in Graphic Design in 2022. Today, the studio he started with a paintbrush designs and produces full apparel programs for HBCUs, high schools, and national brands.
